Day 1 – Into the Rainforest

The adventure starts at 9:00 AM with a meeting at your guesthouse in Bukit Lawang. After a short introduction and briefing, you will begin walking toward the rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park, the walk starts by following small local paths and river edges before gradually entering the protected rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park.

As the forest becomes denser, your guide will help you search for wildlife while explaining how animals live freely in their natural environment. With some luck, you may encounter semi wild orangutans observing their movements high in the canopy and their interactions in the wild.
During the trek, take a break to enjoy fresh tropical fruits, followed by a climb to scenic viewpoints offering wide views of the surrounding jungle landscape and river valley.

After enjoying a freshly prepared jungle lunch, the journey continues toward the campsite. Along the way, you may spot other rainforest inhabitants such as thomas leaf monkeys, long tail macaques, and tropical birds.

In the late afternoon, arrive at the campsite near a river or waterfall. Take time to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the calm atmosphere while your guides prepare dinner. Spend the evening sharing stories by the campfire before resting for the night in your jungle tent.

Day 2 – Jungle Discovery

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest you will enjoy our home made breakfast at camp. Today’s route takes you further through the jungle, passing different forest zones and river crossings.

Your guide will introduce you to the rich plant life of the rainforest, including traditional uses of medicinal plants and signs of animal activity. Lunch is served in a quiet jungle spot surrounded by nature.

In the afternoon, continue trekking toward the second campsite. After arrival, relax with a swim or enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Dinner is served at camp, followed by a relaxed evening under the stars.

Overnight in the jungle.

Day 3 – River Way Home

After breakfast, begin the final walk through the rainforest. This last section offers another chance to spot wildlife, including primates and bird species unique to Sumatra.

After a final jungle lunch, the trek ends with a fun and refreshing traditional river tubing experience or we called
“JUNGLE TAXI” ,floating down the Bohorok River back to Bukit Lawang. Your guide will then escort you back to your guesthouse, marking the end of your jungle adventure.
