The adventure starts at 9:00 AM with a meeting at your guesthouse in Bukit Lawang. After a short introduction and safety briefing, you will begin walking toward the rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park.

The trek continues along natural jungle trails as your local guide explains the rainforest ecosystem, tropical plants, and wildlife. With some luck, you may encounter semi-wild and wild Sumatran orangutans, as well as other animals such as monkeys and birds. All wildlife encounters are conducted ethically — no feeding and no touching.

During the trek, you will enjoy fresh tropical fruits, followed by a simple local lunch of Indonesian fried rice (nasi goreng) prepared in the jungle. After lunch, there is time to relax before continuing the trek through the forest.
In the afternoon, the journey continues downhill toward the river, ending with a refreshing river rafting experience along the Bohorok River back to Bukit Lawang.
